Privacy
This is a personal site. It has no ads, no accounts, and no forms, and nothing here is sold or shared for marketing.
Who is responsible
Andrei Varabyeu, Warsaw, Poland. For anything privacy-related, write to hello@avarabyeu.me.
What is collected, and why
Only if you accept the cookie banner, the site uses Google Analytics 4 to record how it is used: pages viewed, how you arrived (for example, a search engine or a link), approximate location (country and city), device type, browser, and language. Google Analytics 4 does not store IP addresses.
The purpose is simple: to understand who visits — mostly potential clients — and which work they find interesting, so the page can be improved. The legal basis is your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR). Advertising features are switched off.
If you decline, or never answer the banner, Google Analytics is not loaded at all and no request is sent to Google. Fonts are served from this site, so they reveal nothing to third parties either.
Cookies and local storage
_gaand_ga_7PSYP1JW2F: Google Analytics cookies, set only after you accept, kept for up to two years.analytics-consent: your banner choice, kept in your browser’s local storage so the banner doesn’t ask again. It never leaves your device.
Hosting
The site is hosted on GitHub Pages. Like any web server, GitHub processes technical data such as your IP address to deliver the page and keep the service secure, regardless of your analytics choice. See GitHub’s privacy statement.
Retention and transfers
Google Analytics keeps the data for at most 14 months. Google and GitHub are US companies; transfers rely on the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework, under which both are certified.
Your rights
You can change your mind at any time with cookie settings at the bottom of every page — declining removes the analytics cookies. You may also ask for access to, correction of, or deletion of your data, or object to its processing, by writing to the address above. You have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority; in Poland that is the President of the Personal Data Protection Office (UODO).
